Rated 1 out of 5 by from No pigment of my imagination I repainted some of the interior of my house using several different colors of Glidden Premium paint. The Dove white covered great even over darker colors with a light coat and then a second coat. The charcoal gray went over a previously colored wall and made a great, one coat coverage, accent wall. The lighter shade of gray also provided even and excellent one coat coverage. Now it seems that beige, white, brown and grays all did the job but I bought three gallons of Burgandy and it was hands down the worst painting experience I've ever had. The paint went on the wall with brush or roller completely uneven. Streaky would be an understatement . It seems as if the pigment in the paint and the paint itself were fighting to separate. . I would have been more then happy to cut and roll three times if needed but after several attempts to get even coverage, the pain, in that pigment' was worse then anything I ever painted with before. No latex, enamel, acrylic, epoxy or lacquer ever presented as uneven a finish as this. I'm not certain any amount of coats would even out the color. So my advice is, if it's colors you want, avoid GLIDDEN.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love This Paint I have a very large living room space. It was currently painted brownish color and with this paint I decided to go back to white. First thing that I wanted to say about this paint is that I have used other semi-gloss latex paints and this one did not have the usual lingering smell as the others. The wife and I made the comment almost at the same time. With having the brown paint, we did have to do 2 coats but I think it was only because we had the dial set wrong on our Wagner power roller. The new walls look AMAZING!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shed is looking great! Loving the new color! Due to the extreme weather - Heat and storms, we're running behind on our outside projects. We started with our little shed that was given to us! It was an old ugly brown and we chose a new Glidden Premium Candy Apple red paint! We are loving it and can't wait to start on the bigger garage/barn we need to repaint. On first opening the paint , it was a strange salmon color but I've painted enough to know that it goes on and dries much differently. At first the old brown was coming through the red paint. We had no idea what had been used on it previously. We did a sample board of the siding that will be used on the bigger project and it went on PERFECTLY!! So we gave the shed 3 coats of the Candy Apple red and we are very happy with it!! It has some depth and character to it! All of our neighbors have commented how well they like it now!! It sits up near the road, so it is very visible! We now have galvanized metal roofing to put on it and it is going to look so wonderful! I am so thrilled with my little shed! It is just so cute - would love to share a pic after the roof goes on!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Paint I was asked to review this paint. The paint has great coverage, no odor, dries fast, and clean up is easy. Primer is included with the paint and saves so much time. I only used two coats on my walls. The color that I received was a good choice. There are so many colors to choose from. I would recommend this paint for your interior painting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great paint. Great color. Got this paint a few weeks ago for my garage overhead door. Rain showers every other day I couldn't get to it right away. Finally two days without rain. Temps in the upper 70's. Old door was lighter in color, faded, cracked and peeling paint. Scraped off peeling paint and primed with auto spray paint. Used my trusty 20+ year old paint brush to cut around the door frame and get all the grooves in the steel door. Then used a small low nap roller for the field. Paint went on real well and great coverage. I knew it needed a second coat. So let the first coat dry for about an hour. Then applied the second coat. It went on smoother and again great coverage. What I really like is the second coat went on lighter but dried darker. This allowed me to see where I may have missed areas to go over them. Love the look and color. Did not paint the frame for contrast. Used about 2/3 of a gallon of paint. Next project is to paint the garage entry door.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glidden Premium Exterior Paint in Tan I live in North Florida so I need a paint that will be easy to apply and will dry in a few hours because it rains most afternoons during the summer. Luckily we have 3 days of no rain so I decided to do my painting now. I choose the Tan color because we have to use desert colors on our homes in this subdivision and it looked just right to me kind of like a dark Sand color. I cleaned the exterior the day before and started early in the morning to apply the paint on the front. This paint is thick. The pictures shows are after one coat. The coverage is wonderful as it covered the uneven hardiboard exterior without any problems for me. Clean up was easy just soap and water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coverage and excellent color. Our house was a bland 1970's off white. We wanted to make a statement so we chose a bold dark color for the exterior walls: Wild Truffle. I am extremely happy with the Glidden paint's excellent coverage. It has a nice thick consistency. We used rollers for the majority and brushes for cutting in the edges. We were able to get great coverage with one coat. A few areas needs a second coat. I think it is a vast improvement. When we tackle the interior walls I think we will be looking at Gladden to do that job too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great paint My experience with this paint and other Glidden products is nothing less than a great product to use. This paint goes on smooth with sometimes only one coat is needed. Holds up to outdoor weather as well. I used this product for painting the exterior pf my home. I definitely recommend it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Would not coat Bought this paid to paint a primed garage door. The sheen is semigloss and color is white. I painted a design in the door and got some red paint in the white area. I tried to touch up the white and it would not coat after 6 separate attempts. The rest of the door is not brilliant white either. It mostly looks like primer. Possibly got a bad batch, but very dissatisfied with this paint.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor hiding, poor adhesion to PVC trim I used two colors from this line for my front entry: Heron Gray Satin to match Andersen's "Sandtone" storm door for trim, and California Claret Semi-Gloss (gorgeous red) for the front door (brand new, pre-primed fiberglass door w/ PVC trim around the lite). I noticed when painting the trim (wood, with PVC brick-mould) that the paint didn't really want to "grab" on the PVC. The second coat covered. The Heron Gray color did a decent hiding job, requiring only 2 coats. The door was another story. The paint again did not like the PVC lite trim, and even had initial adhesion issues with the pre-primed fiberglass (I did lightly sand it and clean it). The biggest problem was hiding. I had to put down 5 coats before I got a decent finish that wasn't showing white through--and then had to do a 6th coat on some of the detail work. Adding in dry time, this was a beast of a project. And 2 days later, the paint is still fairly soft. I have no idea how long it will take to fully cure where I can remove my protection from the weatherstripping and be confident that opening the door won't tear the paint. Next time, I'll try something else. To be fair, the weather was hot, so I applied it in a shaded garage at 90F ambient. That is right at the top-end of the stated application temp range. I'm not really impressed with how the paint flows out, adheres, and hides. Perhaps I should have sprayed, or perhaps I should have done a couple layers of flat sheen first to enhance the hiding.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor coverage and poor drying time I purchased over $600 worth of pre-primed pine trim boards and painted them in my garage so they would be ready for the contractors when they re-shingled my house. Following the instructions on the can, as well as from a How-to-Paint guide from the library, and recommendations by the contractor I applied the dark green latex paint with a roller, then followed up with a brush. After several days of drying I found the boards to be some-what tacky and very poor coverage. I stacked the boards, set them aside, and painted the second set. After several days of drying the result was the same as the first - poor coverage and tacky. In prep for the second coat I lined up the first set and found that the boards stuck together. When I separated them some of the paint peeled off down to the white primer. After a month of indoor drying I gave them to the contractor for installation. They did some cutting, nailing, etc. and again some of the paint rubbed down to the primer. Once the trim boards were installed I had to go around and touch up all the mars. The old paint on the soffit was a medium green and I had to paint it to match the new trim. The first coat would not even cover the lighter green, showing many brush strokes. I'll have to give it a second coat and hope it won't wash off in the rain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Paint goes on smooth and covers well! Using this to paint the exterior of our home. Paint goes on very smoothly and covers well, so that one coat is all we need. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glidden sports team paint We are huge Seattle Seahawk fans and I wanted to paint my corner bench. I seen that Glidden sports teams colors were better than other paint brands and decided to buy and I am glad I did. The colors are so vibrant it makes the benches stand out. I have gotten so many comments on the corner bench and other bench that I have people wanting me to paint their benches also and asking what paint brand I used. I make sure to tell them only get Glidden the only brand that has the true colors of the Seahawks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best coverage/durability I have experienced We have painted many things over the years including a few houses. This has by far been the best covering exterior paint. Even withstood a crazy hail storm just 4 days after painting without needing any touch up!!! We are now about 3 months from painting and everything still looks great. Now I do not fear the indoor projects as I am confident Glidden indoor will perform just as great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The product exceeded my expectations. The color of the outdoor shutters and front door of our home had become faded and dry. Since we had invested in replacement windows, we wanted to bring the look of the house into a better focus. We painted the shutters and front door with Glidden Premium in burgundy and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. The house looks beautiful. The color really pops with the tan of the siding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amateur painting made easy I live in Arizona and have a stucco home. I painted the home with a roller and applied two full coats of GLIDDEN Premium Flat paint. The paint did an excellent job of covering the majority of the uneven surfaces. Some deep crevasse had to be painted with a brush but in all it required very little brush work. After completing the main structure I then tackled the Trim which I also used the GLIDDEN Premium Flat, however a different color, The wood surfaces are old but covered very well and the paint did an excellent job of hiding blemishes in the wood. I did not cut the Paint and believe that it will some time before I will have to Paint again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really Great Product I purchased a gallon of this paint for the trim, door and door frame for our exterior kitchen door. This door gets a lot of rough weather - sun most of the day, rain, etc. and since it's on the side of the house, there isn't much of an overhang from the eave. This paint applied wonderfully, covered very nicely and has held up great too. This is the paint that I'm going to use for my exterior projects from here on out!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used on MANY houses for exterior painting We've used this specific brand on many of jobs, from historical wood, to vinyl. I definitely recommend scrapping and/or pressure washing then priming before paint. And a thick coat or 2 with the product but over all the product colors are vibrant and wash easily.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Paint covers very well with one coat. Paint covered the exterior foundation of my house very well with only one coat. Dries quickly. Cleans up after painting easily with soap and water.
